Advantages of zero crossing triggered solid-state relays:

1. Reducing electromagnetic interference: Due to conducting when the AC power supply voltage approaches zero volts, it can effectively reduce the electromagnetic interference generated at the moment of conduction, which is very beneficial for improving the stability and reliability of electronic devices.

2. Reduce the impact on the load: Zero voltage conduction helps to alleviate the electrical impact on the load, extend the service life of the load, and is particularly suitable for some loads that are sensitive to voltage changes, such as motors.

3. Energy saving effect: During zero crossing conduction, the current is relatively small, which can reduce the energy loss at the moment of conduction, thus achieving energy saving to a certain extent.

4. Improving power factor: Helps to improve the power factor of the circuit and reduce the generation of reactive power.

Disadvantages of zero crossing triggered solid-state relays:

1. High cost: Compared to ordinary solid-state relays, the price of zero crossing trigger type is usually higher.

2. The control circuit is relatively complex: more accurate detection and control circuits are required to achieve zero crossing triggering, which increases the difficulty of design and maintenance.

3. There is a certain conduction delay: due to the need to wait for the AC voltage to cross zero, there may be a certain delay in conduction, which may not be suitable in some situations where high response speed is required.

4. Limited load adaptability: For some special or nonlinear loads, zero crossing triggering may not fully leverage its advantages and may even result in unstable operation.
