The working principle of the potentiometer voltage regulation module is to adjust the output voltage by changing the resistance value of the potentiometer. A potentiometer is a three terminal component, with its two fixed terminals connected to the positive and negative terminals of the power supply, and the sliding terminal in the middle connected to the output terminal. When the sliding end moves on the potentiometer, the resistance value between it and the two fixed ends changes, thereby changing the voltage at the output end.

Specifically, when the sliding end moves towards a fixed end, the resistance value between it and the fixed end decreases, while the resistance value between it and the other fixed end increases. This leads to a decrease in the voltage at the output terminal. On the contrary, when the sliding end moves towards another fixed end, the voltage at the output end increases.

 

Potentiometer voltage regulation modules are commonly used in circuits that require voltage regulation, such as power supplies, amplifiers, motor drivers, etc. By adjusting the resistance value of the potentiometer, precise control of the output voltage can be achieved.
